Mr. Ugur Terzioglu was born in Milas on October 20th, 1933 as the only child of well known businessman Terzizade Mr. Mustafa (father) and Mrs. Nilufer (mother). He is a graduate of Robert College(54”) and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Institute California in 1956. From 1952 until 1960, he ran his family business of olive oil soap production as well as family owned cotton and tobacco factories. During the same years, Mr. Terzioğlu also was an advisor to then Prime Minister of Turkish Republic Mr. Adnan Menderes specifically on the matters related to the USA.

Between the years 1963 and 1971, Mr. Terzioglu was the General Manager of an agriculture factory. In 1971, he moved to Rome, Italy and founded Filmcentre Group, which handled the international sales of movies to Turkey, Greece, Middle East, Far East and Holland. In 1986, Mr. Terzioglu moved back to Istanbul as General Coordinator of ASTALDI S.p.A. Italian Construction Company, and participated in the signing of a $1 billion dollar infrastructure project to build highways, tunnels, and viaducts in Turkey. In 2013, he retired from ASTALDI S.p.A. He is one of the founders of Turkish Constructors Federation.

Presently, Mr. Terzioglu has interest in two companies in the film industry–one is Exhibition which co-owns 145 theatres and the other is a distribution company releasing theatrical and television movies.

Mr. Terzioglu has always been actively involved in politics; from 1950 to 1960 he served as Head of the Young Democratic Party, and from 1963 to 1970 he was with the former Justice Party and was a private advisor to late President of Turkish Republic Mr. Turgut Ozal between 1985 and 1992.

Mr. Terzioglu is fluent in English and Italian. Has been awarded the Diamond of Merit by the late President Mr.Ronald Reagon in 1982, and was named the Chevalier of France in 1987. He is the founder of American Chamber of Commerce TABA/AMCHAM, and had served as the Chairman for twelve years and as Chairman of High Advisory Council until 2015. He received a Medal of Honor, Cavaliero di Republica, from Italian Parliament and the President in March 2005, also as President of AMPEC a subsidary of MPEA. He received a certificate of Merit from MPAA in the U.S. for his works regarding anti-piracy.

Mr. Ugur Terzioglu is a member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and DEIK. He currently serves as the Vice President of American Turkish Friendship Council (ATFC-Atlanta/Georgia) and the Founder President of newly formed American Turkish Business Development Council (ATBD Council). He is also the official representative of the Democratic Council of California, an aid organization operating in Turkey to help Iraqi and Syrian refugees.
